EARTH TILT YOUR AXIS A BIT MORE EH?

SEND WARMTH

Rips flesh and marrow from bone
Robins then appear

It seems as if this unending winter (there were snow flurries yesterday) has reminded me of haiku. This one is purely of the Japanese form with the first two complete lines giving way to the third line, which details the season. Though a true haiku could contain anywhere from 11-19 syllables I chose to stay with the 5-7-5 construct. Send summer, my feet are going to be cold until at least the end of July.

  1. Wow. You and haiku... is the world coming to an end? With this weather, maybe it is.

    1. Only if they were locally born and bred Charles--it has been a particularly violent month here in the city. Capped off with a woman who had 4 kids she beat mercilessly and murdered two of them and stuck them in a freezer. It has been awful weather and humanity lately.

    1. 3/31/15 0230 and it snowed then rained and then the temperature fell ten degrees meowmomma. The whole in like a lion and out like a lamb myth has been shredded and my feet are still cold. Damit.

  6. It snowed all day one day last week. Fortunately, the ground was warm enough that most of the snow melted right away. Standing on the front stoop enjoying a smoke, I saw a robin in the front yard staring at me as if this weather was my fault. When it flew up to the power lines, I went inside before it could dive-bomb me.

Thursday it's supposed to be 70. Go figure.
