THE LAST 55--Galen Haynes is gone.

THE LAST 55
I woke this morning with a tear in my eye. Thoughts of, Mr, Know It All has died. That this weak mortal body, can hold such a generous soul, was in him exemplified. Now kicking ass in the place where the good wake when they have come to this life’s end. Rest well my friend.

Today was to be Galen’s birthday in this place but they are celebrating with food, football and song with a parking lot full of Harleys. Galen passed after suffering a massive heart attack at work yesterday (12.9.2014)

    1. ds--You know i didn't know him as long as others and only met him 3 times or so. But he laid down that 55 challenge and it made me realize that the impossible was actually possible, and that was the way he treated his own life. He just did as his heart said was the way to go and went there.

    1. it's OK kj, everyone must pass through that door. I wish he'd have stayed longer but that could be just selfishness on my part.

  7. This knocked me sideways. He was a man so full of life and loving it, that which I read from his pages......

    1. Shadow, what you read was the real deal. the few times we met he was no different than what a reader perceived on the page. No guile in him at all.

  12. I'm still struggling with the reality of it. It's hard to let him go. So it was a heart attack? I had wondered.
