I watch the sky lighten
and know another night
is swiftly passing.
Odd are the early day comparisons
the mind makes between the changing
from light to dark and dark to light
and
the revolutions of compassion
the evolutions of empathy
the changing resolutions of humanity.

a revolution of compassion might be just what we need....another change in resolution...one toward each other....and a promise of returning as the sun to light the way
ReplyDeleteI think what you're saying Brian is that the majority of us need to get on the same page, the one that defines love pehaps.
DeleteFor the first month of the summer I got up early every day. then I began to shift into summer mode, staying up late at night. I'm still getting up relatively early but then having to have a nap later. In other words I'm not seeing the sky lighten these days.
ReplyDeleteCharles if i had a job that needed a clock or calendar again I know i would be lost for years trying to acclimate.
DeleteI'm not sure where you are getting your info, but good topic. I needs to spend some time learning much more or understanding more. Thanks for great info I was looking for this info for my mission.

I love that last stanza!
ReplyDeleteRosaria I am sure i will get deeply angry again in the future but for now I may as well try a little lite while I have it within me.
DeleteThe last stanza has to be read again and again. I love its musicality not just its meaning...
ReplyDeleteVesper thank you rhythm is not a strong suit of mine so your comment is doubly appreciated.
DeleteOh, let us hope for revolutions of compassion. Love that final stanza. It swirls.
ReplyDeleteWe need compassion, love and empathy for sure. Those who held such ideals back in the 60's and 70's seem to mostly have moved on to greed, self-centeredness, and hatred. When will we ever learn.....
ReplyDeleteMark-youth affords us all the wonderful ideals but as we get more experienced it seems to fall off the track a little. How sad. xo
ReplyDeleteFantastic!
