I DO NOT CARE FOR THE CONSTANT HEADLINE GRABBING DOLT

PRESIDENT OF WHAT

He (pronoun) is a bellicose (adjective) twitchy (verb) Fuck (noun)

Though I do not abhor historical symbols,
flags, statues, granite blocks, fountains
and the like that make a nation remember.
I rather adore the ideals of freedom, peace,
and a nation united in those thoughts of truth.
The roar of war internal is killing America.

55 words of opinion. Friday’s 55 can be about any subject, written in any prose or poetry form. The only two rules are that the body of your work be exactly 55 words and that you link it to Verse Escapes <<(that is a link) blog so that others my come round and have a kick ass time reading your words. We do this in memory of one hell of a guy, G-Man. Foodie, Wise Guy, Harley Rider, lover of his family and the beginner of the Friday 55—oh and he gave my son a fair deal on his first car so he was not your typical used car salesman.

  1. Yes, the more you hear him, the more your intellect-and stomach-revolt that THIS is what is "leading" us--straight to the abyss. I love your first line--who says the simple declarative sentence is dead? It's a sad state of affairs when I can listen to that mess George W Bush and get nostalgic. But at least he can form entire sentences, and coherent thoughts with words of more than one syllable. Thanks for venting your ire, which is representative of far many more than just you, in a 55, Mark, and may your weekend be Babyman-free, and thus well on the way to kickass.

well, truth is stranger and more evil than any character we could possibly make up

    1. Unfortunately for us Kylie, and the rest of the world, this clown is it. Though I do NOT want him impeached because Pence would do us greater harm as a seasoned politician with friends on the hard right in congress.

    1. You know Charles that is an interesting thought, I agree with you intellectually but not realistically. People can be inspired by memorials in public spaces or they can spew shit in the same space. BUT a staue never commented on history, only gave it a presence, the interpretation of that past will always be open for debate and I for one want none of it erased.

    1. Kerry--Thank you. Galen was one of the good guys.

There are some good leaders in the world but most of them "leading" today had few examples. Between 1962 and 1980 we murdered a whole generation of good leadership--Assassinations from Medger Evers--to Yitzak Rabin, with a King, an X, a couple of Kennedy's and a Sadat among others in that group, there were so few sailors who could teach the next generation of helmsmen.

      Thanks for stopping by.

    2. You know that is an interesting thought about all wars starting in the womb of women--I thinks it's bullshit but it is interesting. If we could only tell the future we could have selective abortion. But Meowmomma all wars are started in the heart of man, greed, jealousy hatreds.

We have a thousand reasons for war and none learned to tend toward peace. War, of course is more profitable.

      Love you back Cat.

  6. The script for every country leader of every nation has been written, you will walk a long way if you seek freedom and peace, now truth is public enemy number one! Speak publicly! Speak out! Speak up! We were not meant to be controlled!

    1. ain't that the truth Shadow, don't get caught speaking the objective truth as truth knows itself to be. It could be more harmful to your health than a cigarette and cheap bourbon.

But then for me"fuck 'em" I have a lived a good life thus far and have no ontention of changing me to suit them.

    1. Susie--we can not lead by failure, it is impossible but as long as he is causing division and hampering his party it is more bearable then the Pence alternative. Pence would be very good at passing through the most radically rightist agenda we'd ever seen.

  9. The false religion of a nation is not despicable, it's also dangerous.. it has happened too many times before. I hope the citizens of America can stop this craziness

    1. Brudberg--the citizens of the nation, through the fluke of our constitution, started this and it may be a long torturous path to change it. Personally I think the SCOTUS decision on the Wi gerrymandering case may just tell the future.

It is insane this once world leading nation but we forget that patriotism is not nationalism and right now the nationalists have the floor.
