Caves and Graves

After forever walking
in total darkness,
even the smallest of lights
is as bright
as the midday sun.

There must be
a reasonable expectation
for hope to fully live.
Kindness ran out
of reason long ago.

    1. Meowmomma, I like the days, prefer the nights, can't escape the pains of either but I can except them both. They tell me i must avoid the sun though, having just beat up on some more non melanoma skin cancer. *meh* I just ain't ready for a sunset yet. Love you too.

  2. About a year ago, I read one of Barbara Brown Taylor's book, "Learning to Walk in the Dark" We can learn to love both as night and day are both a part of our experiences and kindness should never go out of style even if there is no reason...

    1. Jeff what should never go out of style and what does is fueled by the emotions of fear and discouragement. I fear nothing and have come to accept that I can only order my own rabbit hole.

  3. Sadly, kindness did -- for many. It is like being thirsty, any water will do. Only the careful stop to boil it first before drinking, and the rest get sick of it. Maybe too it is just the hope of something better than this, you know.

    1. X we have had as a culture, not to far back (maybe the disco era) have had better days. I find that the takers are too lazy to make the world better and the powerful have no advantage in doing so. It is the latter that has created the new social climate. People still think there is somewhere left to run, but there is not there is only here and how you deal with here determines how well you be.

  4. It's hard to be kind when you're hurting

    1. Being kind in pain is easy Charles, being kind while being hurt rubs against the grain though.
