I'VE HEARD MOST IF IT AND SEEN IT ALL

THE REAL DETROIT
In review I look at the list of things I have yet to do, both want and need. I know with each passing season the reason becomes more critical and less desirable. I am though, become a slouch not quite ever ready, willing, or wanting to get off the couch. Lazy? Maybe. Tired? Sick? Yes both the latter definitely. It is this place, this concrete covered space, this union between racism and harmony that takes motion and holds me (e)motionless. White ofay devil that Jesus has no love for with the your boot on the black man’s neck still, and ever will, the nigger pricks never had a job or worked at anything harder than rolling dice to win a gun used to murder, drugged schemes, rob babies of parents dreams, killed by prison stretches. Wretches is all that’s left living in this arena, lion or prey. Kneel to pray no never, never ever bend a knee before a preachin’ dog who robs the poor box. Special folk who keep that box key in the pocket of a two thousand dollar suit hanging in the back seat of a seventy thousand dollar ride, now pimped out on thirty sixes. Doing the Lords work is the last profitable employment left in this world cut loose from the rest. Fuck them all, the white baby rapers and the black pulpit pimps who only look to their own while telling me I don’t motherfucking belong simply because I be white. There is so very little right left in this place that it just marches along ignorant of its own ignoble end. I can’t be sent away or forced out and being a thorn in this crown of racist filth is worth the idleness of dreams not worth moving for.

  1. Doing the real work of the lord surely does not pay. Faking it seems to pay pretty well for some.

    1. I think that few are they who remember that work is an action verb and the real work of the lord is not done with the mouth.

  2. Oh, but the pulpit has always gained while the congregation often went without. There are so many divides...and yet our hearts all pump blood.

    1. I believe that some think their blood is blue not realizing that is the color of death in a human body Kim.

    1. At too early an age I was offered a spot as a pastor, much book knowledge enthralled the congregation. I left town the next day to continue my own searching. Few would come to my church now, as there is always too much rain or snow or heat or cold. I see that crab pot and the way the fires are always stoked hotter when the preacher falls behind on HIS bills.

  4. When colour and self-glorification in whatever form take preference over what is, what you are, the spirit dies a little at a time. I see it daily, ignore it mostly, and sometimes wish I could leave the planet, nevermind the city, country or continent on which I live...

  5. Unless one has some kind of lucre pile or magical buffer, most places suck; some worse than others.

    1. It is how you perceive the surroundings, I see with an open eye Erik, I see this place sucking the soul from me and others, but those doors are the ones that travel with a person.

  6. much is about choice ... to be somewhere or not ... to love somebody or not ... to eat out of restaurant garbage cans and then move on ... is a choice too ... I've done it ... it works ... as long as your belly is full ... move on, Mark.

  7. Mark, I've found that being sick and tired is a downward spiral that makes everything worse. So physically and mentally draining. God, I hope you feel better. xo

    1. Goatman one moves when they are compelled, I am not compelled fully yet to leave. There is still a need for contrary voice.

  9. Mark, I just came into the den and the TV was on and they were showing Kid Rock (some Detroit musician) showing up at a down syndrome guy's birthday party. There are flowers even there, growing in the cracks. As for the Lord's work, I'll withhold comments

    1. Jeff if that was not a photo op then there would have been no cameras there for Kid Rock. Often many people from here have to remind here that they once were here. Some flowers while nice to look at have a horrible stink about them. You need not speak to the work of the lord, when you see the spirit of lack flowing all around one it is understood that work is not being done.

You better than almost all in this comment section know what the city really is like but your understanding still has 300 miles of separation. It is different in the moonlight illumination of understanding the being here.

  10. Am I then to become a part and portion of the filth Alice or do I stand my ground?
