DJ TODAY IS YOUR DAY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME
Confusion comes with age. I can attest to this. It could be from a lack of rest or just the stage of lengthening teeth. Today is July 28, 2014 and it is my birthday see. If i were a girl, for a day I'd be a queen but alas king doesn't rhyme with 2014. At least all of my life that is what others told me to be true but, am I now 60 or 61 headed towards 62? I really need an answer, so one day I’ll be able to explain it to my grandson. Because of the quirkiness of fate, the behemoth boy stayed in his momma too late, missed his appointed date and the son and daughter in law are on their way for the doctor to slightly slit and remove the 10 pound little shit. So when he draws his first breath it will be his day number one; that part is easy enough to see. But after a full year of poop and pee in diapers done will he be two or one? These are the things grandpas are supposed to know and to tell it true this ragged worn out old man simply has no freaking clue! This day next year will DJ be number 1 or will he be on the first day of number 2?

Baby and mom are doing fine. Born about 11:15am EST 10 lbs on the nose give or take. Dad is finally off the floor and doing fine as well. DJ stands for DJ who I believe will grow up to be the initial innovater of initial science theory. At least that is my initial belief.

  1. When thinking too hard about something simple, the mind invariably comes up with things to confuse everything.... Happy Birthday, my dear friend!

    1. Shadow if i wasn't in a perpetual state of confusion, the world would collapse in on itself. Not that I am important but confusion makes me flatulent and that is what keeps the earth inflated.

Thank you for the the kind birthday wish.

    1. Thank you Kylie, I guess the doc did what he had to do as easily as he could but I didn't know while he was hanging around in there my DiL was having her tubes tied too. I guess she is pretty sore from that more than DJ being taken out.

  3. Happy birthday Mark ~ I'm always in denial of my age, smiles ~ Enjoy the quirkiness of fate as there is also an upside, you know ~

    1. Thank you Grace, why deny your age? You're still going to be the wonder of beauty no matter the years. Of course there is an upside--I may get a chance to teach this one how to swear!

    2. Yep meowmomma it does seem as if i spent half my life in shit and rinsing it off with piss...good thing i have vinegar for blood. Of course love still matters and counts for more than a half weight of weed. Which i should start smoking seeing as I talk about it so much.

  8. Mark! I'm very happy for you, your son and daughter-in-law, and especially the little shit himself, God bless him. DJ, welcome to this wonderful, terrible world of ours! Make it a wee bit better, little one.

I like the name. He'll be a man of conciseness. But he'll hold his grandpa's words dear to his heart. What a special bond the two of you share. Congratulations all around!

    1. Sarah with my son'd job currently taking him out of the country for months at a time, my DiL's plans not being exactly clear as to where she's staying when she is released my plans on teaching him how to swear like a grandpa and ove poetry may be on hold until he's 6 months or so.

Yeah i am seriously thinking I will wait and see what kind of man he is, but I will need to leave my writing to someone who won't delete them.

  9. Happy birthday, ya young gaffer.
Myself, I am seventy six, and in a fix.

Seems it's all got to do with the heart.
And I was never very smart.
