IT’S YOUR GARDEN
Plant a seed and water it with hope for fruit not born yet.
Nurturing this is optimism
in a world grown hot with debate and storms of dissent.
Guard that seed, nourish it with water of faith
all assaults can be guarded against, overcome.
Once a seed grows to give its bounty it is hard to be undone.
Though some with saw and ax will always be in the garden,
perhaps a taste of healing fruit may, or blessing of color,
will help undo desire to destroy an idea from a seedling
grown.

ah, yes we have to protect those seed and def nourish them with hope...

or cut them down...because they are not their own.

ReplyDeleteDuring my younger days I planted many thousands of seeds. Only three ever bloomed: My son Graham, daughters Karen and Clare.
Never such a great harvest.
Seedlings better grow fast these days. Lots of folks waiting to cut it down and make use of it.
ReplyDeletePlanted my tomatoes early this year so as to have a good early summer crop. So far, their bounty has been feeding the bugs. Time for a chemical remedy. Could be, that would work for humans as well.

ReplyDeleteGrowing as many things as possible here. Also, have grown some oaks from acorns. I really hope they will grow into grand trees someday.
