MOMMA ONCE SAID "SON IF LOST FIND A COP"

FINALLY A PATRIOT ACT(OR)
Satellites droning over my head
momentarily blocking my view
of the objects that actually belong there
among the battery dead detritus.
I had to laugh as they passed overhead
taking pictures of me because it was funny to see the things
I paid for the military and government
spy machine to use for spying on me.

Until I remembered that could come the day
they also fire rockets or drop gas upon me
or use the secret laser death ray to ruin my day.
I know it’s true what do because
they have already done it to others too,
maybe hot damn
I should run for cover and stay hidden
And then it occurred to me the walls and phones
are not insect but fully bug ridden.

Oh what’s an American in the land of the brave
and home of the free to do to be from my government saved?
I have the answer now, I surely know
by allowing the government
and every social media site
and cell phone company
see everything I  might do maybe;
all I need to do is make myself believe
that they have really took away
all their trust in me for my own safety.

  5. Trust no one.

    In dogs we trust.

"I'm watching them but who's watching me?"

    Blame it on Cain.

  9. Yeah, it's hard to trust anyone these days. And how sad it is to type those words.

  11. Those death rays do make a bummer of a day, don't they! And less not forgot, our government did gas civilians--West Virginia miners--in the 20s. I supposed they had to do something with the left-overs of the Great War.

  12. I have a few people whom I trust, but the numbers are few. Things are much different these days because I am much more cynical and have learned over the years that trusting others puts me on shaky ground and sets me up for disappointment.
