FLYING TO DREAMS
I wish I could wake upwards
to fly, to soar in places
to fly, to soar in places
found in dearly seen dreams
where desires roam without words.
There must be spaces better by the by
than the ones we waking walk. *Sigh*
There must be spaces better by the by
than the ones we waking walk. *Sigh*
Seeming ever surrounded by the clipped wings
of those that forget they can fly; ever so high.
Just like me, them who, fell and forgot
how to dream of crazy schemes
meant to harm no one; better still
prodding all, that dreams unused—rot.

When did the nights become darker, when did reality creep into our dreams. You're right. We allow ourselves to get caught up in the chains of another's creation. Don't do it. Don't play their games. Dream. Dream. Dream. Then walk towards it. That is where you'll find peace.
ReplyDeleteShadow, when is right. during our lifetime we are being robbed of one of the most essential portions of the kinds of dreams we need, hope. I try to not fall into someone's reality that to them is true but for me would be false. I need to constantly remind myself I am only here because this is where I need to be for the moment but I am finding chasing dreams is hard work, maybe I have gotten lazy or maybe I can write of them but not see them?
DeleteThis is the most tender poem I ever read by u, meowpoppa ... nice ... wish I could write 'bout dreams of mine like this ... Love, cat.
ReplyDeleteMeowmomma--you write just fine of your dreams and place of being--love you right back.
DeleteNice, we have to fulfill some dreams so that we don't drown in rot
ReplyDeleteTherein lies my point Jeff, remembering to have dreams that can drop us off in some new aura of space.
DeleteWhat if angels couldn't walk? Would they dream of what all they might have missed if they could but go a bit slower?
ReplyDeleteI'll stick to doing my flying by airplane. As for visions of things to do - it's endless.
Alice--It is a rare person who does not feel rubbed down like the eraser end of a pencil at times. Airplanes will get you from here to there and back again but beyond an earthbound knowledge what is the profit of that flight? Me, I want to live a dream that has no destination or words, and the profit is remembering I can, you can, we all can still fly their on wings of our own.
DeleteOn a Halloween night,
ReplyDeleteWe psychos seem to move right into our dreams. :)
Ivan then I must live Halloween 24/7/365--the beard is my mask and the thoughts my costume.
DeleteFeeling pretty down this morning. Just lonely I guess. Need to get my ass in gear and head to the barn. I feel as if I am counting down to that time when I am no more. Tick, tick.
ReplyDeleteSyd loneliness is a discontent state of place and being, some handle internal isolation better than others I don't think you need to go to a different physical space but to the cosmic places you thought of when you were a younger man. Hell my friend that clock is ticking for all so why even bother counting the days. I own a watch, I wind it up when I need to mark time which means about once a month or so, if I was face to face with you my question would be why do you own a calendar? Why do you need to know the day or hour--your life is so much better now than it was yesterday. If any bit of you needs to be no more it is that child within you have let live for far too long.
DeleteWhen you're ground bound, you want to fly. But sometimes when you're in the air you wonder what is passing beneath you on the blur that is the world.
ReplyDeleteCharles i have seen enough of a grounded life, as days fly by I would rather be out and about soaring in places where the earth is but a blue marble.
DeleteI could fly in dreams. It was the electric lines and poles I needed to deal with. Just fly higher, over, is the solution. Get over to the woods.
ReplyDeleteGoatman--the woods are a good place to see the areas I want to fly in.
DeleteMark-my dreams involve heaven. xo
