OMG WTF LMAO FB—them that tuned out…cashed in.

I ONCE THOUGHT I NEEDED A TEACHER AND BOOK

Wisdom profound with words put to a picture.
A meme, a meme we need no more
prophets, scholars or teachers to tell us a way.
Memes have come along to save the day,
share the knowledge, the true good wife.
Once upon a time only gained after years
of college and decades of life.

Why bother to study for any ambit
when in less than 30 seconds
you can find a meme to end strife
to every shallow thought
every gambit to appear so logically sound?
Memes, memes I will read a thousand
before I ever open a book; glued or leather bound!

Why discourse in discussion
when in less than a second
I can give you,without repercussion
every complete thought
on any slight or pondered subject.
Memes, memes, truth to light
a meme, only a fool would reject.

All memes not my creation or property feel free to steal. That's why they were created, to share knowledge.

  1. Memes are an interesting form of communication. I have to admit to not fully understanding them or why they occur. But man they are huge.

    1. They are interesting to me too Charles, but more so telling of the one putting them up than what they actually say. It's as if all that needs be said, they think, is said and the conversation over with a picture and 5 or so words imposed on it.

Though I have nowhere near the word output I once did, I still like discourse and argument leading towards reason. It may be me but I can't do that in 5 words.

    1. Calvin it is abhorrent to me in this generation that is confronting daily so many issues, seen from so many objective and subjective directions that there really is a sizeable "no nothing" population.

  4. Oh, the danger of instant knowledge that can be reduced to phrase--but then that's what proverbs were.

    1. The only argument I have to counter with Jeff is that a proverb or aphorism has an explained context that does not require an unrelated picture to get the point across.

Davids proverbs for example, were always couched in prayer for or of that took knowledge of his life for them to make sense.

  7. Pretty shallow isn't it....For me, nothing beats reading a good article or book so you can arrive at your own conclusion. Insta-knowledge is awful Mark but yeah, I get the fascination with memes.
