SPITTING AND PRAYING the same thing.

GOD HELP US.
We wake and wait
for the morning dawn,
as it rises we cry out
for goodness. A good day,
a day with no fear,
no personal drama,
harm or destruction,
a plea for  a day of
contentment.

Rarely are our pleas satisfied.
Such has life become across the globe
such it will remain until you change.

OF DEVILS AND MEN
Look the devil in the eye, spit,
if you dare.
What harm may come to you?
It is your own demon within,
do you fear yourself so much
as you won’t stand up
to the ignorance of the love of
loving humanity you hold?

Spit.

  2. I used to pray for a day of contentment. It never happened. I thought maybe I shouldn't pray for it so I stopped. It still never happens.

    1. Pray--ok that's cool but by praying you acknowledge Charles contentment is a spirit not a place of mind. What is contentment but not wanting more than what you have but always being at peace with working to acquire something more than that & you know you didn't steal from another?

    1. I find Jodi that contentment is 1/2 acceptance and 1/2 resolve with a pinch of dwelling on the best of times.
