BABEL ON

EVE WAS A HOT CHICK

How far is too far
when
digging
deep
for
the
nothing
that has little value
for a man
with nothin’ left to lose?

We could be talking
about Erectile Dysfunction
You could be
I’m not.
That subject is all played out
for me.

Digging past the center
through to the other side
 may not be painful
(not at all once you hit the hollow middle)
but it can certainly
be one
hell of a ride.

“You’ve lost your mind”
I said to me
and as it was
my last known
ass—
et they took
before I was let out
of
mob mentality
bankruptcy.

I sit on my staked out
street corner
eating
gifted Adams rib,
some chick
with bright curls and dark eyes
handed me
while I stared at her tits
wondering if I could have a drink?

I tried to eat the steak
to the donator’s
last teeth marks
but she tasted so good
even though
I wasn’t hungry,
the meat felt like a lovers kiss
and
not their bacteria.
I tell you
when you have nothing left to lose,
living
becomes
easier
once
you
have
tasted
gratitude.

  1. You make an insane amount of sense. On the other side it may not be much fun, but the peace is worth it...

  4. Met my demons again the other day, wrote a poem about how much I'm over this ... went to sleep, and had a nightmare about them ... guess I'm not over it ... so I scrapped the poem ... again ... defeat? ... not a chance ... will keep trying ... and will win ... so will you ... Love, cat.

    1. Meowmomma I won already, I just haven't been paid yet. Demons--they gotta have something to do too you know. Play with her and see her as you remember and play.

    1. To tell me you don't like this means it worked kj, any reaction but apathy, is one of the points of poetry. But it would be good to know why you don't like this.

    1. Got no home here on this planet I'd care for to bring it to, better to keep it tucked away in my mystical silent spot.
