PLINK PLUCK PLINK STRUM

WITHER WENT THE ZITHER
From NYC to Detroit with $35 in his pocket and a lap played zither. He played at different people mover stations daily, his zither case ready to receive coinage. Every day for weeks he played every tune he knew. He left Detroit with $25 in his pocket thinking Flint might not be so artistically bankrupt.

    1. Galen you know that is only by statistics. We still kill more people. Besides as long as he paid his $1 for entry to the people mover platform, what is the voice on the speaker going to rob him of a losing act?

  6. Okay, I've never seen an instrument like that. I'd have to pay the guy just to see what sounds it makes! :)

    1. Talon it is a combination upright guitar, slide guitar and harp played on the lap. They are truly beautiful in the hands of one who knows their instrument.

    1. kj I have to do these 55s because I am under Galen's spell. Besides they are about the only prose i write anymore. Which makes them the more challenging.

  8. Heard of a zither--interesting instrument. It was first mentioned in Daniel and dates to about 608 BC. Ancient instrument.
