BETTER PRAY GOD IS NOT A NOSE PICKER

FINGER FLICKED BOOGER
I am found flying on the wings of angels
and riding on the delight of demons;
found there amidst all mankind.
Between the goodness of a kind happy creators heart
and the enemy’s glee at the waste in which we all take part

Beauty built places for peace of mind we all say as one “fuck it.”
Since time began we changed it to places for Skeeball tickets
to win and trade for cheap prizes in life’s arcade.
Winning tickets counted as pleasure in failure near and far
in pain found in others even more trapped than players are.

Some find serenity on meditations
of unknown consequences of responses
to the evil striding through the land.
Trouble makes me happy at times to lend a hand.

I don’t mind being despised and laughingly neglected
but it hurts to know everywhere and everything
I’ve ever done is rejected as failure after failure.
‘Cept when I found it fun to share in the demons glee
as I get to see misery in them more forgotten than me.

We have evolved to such fools that time and circumstances
have made it so the angels father has forced his middle finger
circular loading up his thumb to flick us human boogers off,
simply because generally speaking
we today all are reeking with greedy and dumb.

  1. it is rather depressing to look at the grand picture and see all the darkness...its easy to overlook the pockets of beauty and goodness...its still there...but dang, i know what you are saying...

  4. Hm.
Word association, I supose, but back in the days when I was something of a star at the Canadian Star Weekly, I became something of an arrogant cuss and was finally told to booger off by the head editor. Pride cometh before a fall?

  5. That's one way to look at it Carleton. Either way enough is enough and every dog will eat and scratch itself until the flea is gone.

  6. Well, I think highly of you and your talent. I'm thinking if we really knew all the stuff that happens and goes down in this world, we would fling ourselves off a cliff. I choose most times to see the positive.
