CHEMICAL WARFARE

MOBILE ARTILLERY

Outside its dark, lightly raining, and well beyond midnight.
Standing in my customary smoking spot I hear gun fire.
I know one is my dog farting, she sounds like a howitzer,
while the other was three rounds from a .38 or a .380.
I live in a battle zone its true,
but them who can,
refuse to make siege against it,
they have their reasons to fear this place.
Thank God for mobile heavy artillery in a war zone
if the insurgents can't be rooted out they can be gassed.

  2. ... although they can be quite (ob)noxious, I'll settle for farts of cats, dogs and cattle. Wow, meouwpoppa ... this even rhymes ... smiles ... Love, cat.

  3. "They can be gassed"? Would that be mustard gas from yesterday's hot dog? Or pepper spray from the curry vindaloo dinner?
Incidentally, in Malaysia, we are being told that the word "hot dog" is not to be used by food outlets because it would be confusing to Muslims who believe that dogs are unclean animals.

    1. I believe it is tanta, mount to methane Calvin, though I have not yet held a lighter to her butt.

As to offer no offense to anyone we shall rename "hot dogs" weiner...No that won't cut it either in light of this past weeks email revelations--I am sure someone smarter than me can come up with a sexual innuendo that would be appropriate.

  5. Dog farts make good defense. Or would that be offense?

  6. I visualize someone walking down the street in full riot gear with a dog butt-first aimed at tenement houseing.

    1. If she wasn't 90 pounds you may have described me sans chemical warfare gear--one does get used to handling weapons.

    1. Most are not Grace, most wish to ignore reality until the explosions start and then they will wonder why and if this is Armageddon come finally. Me--I expect the smell and the noise of war. Not much that happens anymore surprises me.

    1. I do not know if what occurs in Detroit, Chicago, New York and other urban centers qualifies as war but it certainly is a running battle over sanity.

  9. Thank you so very much for giving permission. You can see your linked header under All, Literary and the United States. If you could say something (preferably good) about SiteHoundSniffs.com here and there, I would greatly appreciate it.
