  2. Brian...yes The Scots Kind.

40 years ago I had the word FREEDOM tattooed on my right shoulder and all these decades later I am not willing to lose it without going to war first.

  4. better to perish in battle than to live in the hills wearing homespun and writing poems? I wonder....
We all descend from folks who left old battles in the old world, and came to start over. . . . .see, you set us musing!

  7. enduring stone. i know that is a metaphor for your faith, mark.

this is the first time i am able to see a video on your posts. the bagpipes convey something i can't rightly describe, always sadness in some way, and patriotic pride too.

these days my little mr ryan age 5 is going around saying 'never give up.' i;m glad that some wise daycare teacher is instilling this in him.

ours is a beautiful country and it's going to hell. but it's still not iran and i still hold the faith. i know you do too.

    love
